Sketch Seattle, Sketching Workshops on location with Ron Stocke & Derek Gundy

Sketch Seattle Presents
Saturday July 16th, 9:30am-4pm, $85

West Seattle is an often overlooked part of Seattle that offers one of the few destination beaches on Puget Sound. Alki Beach has a two and a half mile long pedestrian walkway, and in the summer is populated by beach volleyball players, sun worshipers, and beachcombers. Most of the beaches on Puget Sound are covered in rock and shells, but on Alki you can get sand between your toes, get some exercise, learn about Seattle's earliest settlers, and take in a great view of the Seattle skyline.

Northwest Artists Ron Stocke & Derek Gundy guide students through a day of sketching in pencil, pen, and watercolor along the character filled coastline of Alki Beach. Capture some of the activity and charm outside the restaurants and coffee shops, or lay down some brushstrokes as a ferry or sailboat upstages the Seattle skyline. There is something for everyone to sketch at Alki Beach.

All registered students receive a 9x9 or 9x12 Bee Paper Super Deluxe Sketchbook FREE with your initial workshop. When you register we will ask you which size you prefer. One sketchbook per student per season. ** Sketchbooks are not included in the Astoria Workshop in Oregon earlier in the season.
